yeah, you can post things for sale, go in the mens room and have this warm feeling inside that you are contrabuting to the forum and the people who run it.
thats what being a gold member is all about.

Rang them. Had the usual chit chat about rs turbo's etc, then the guy on the phone asked if I was a member of any clubs or forums. Exaplined, and he told me of the discount.

I believe it was 12.5% yeah, either way they were Ł400 cheaper than anyone else I called. So didnt matter either way.
I didnt enquire about any other. Thought the RS owners club was the biggest waste of money so i didnt renew.

Yeah insurance policies are the most fickle and random things.
I just got classed as an enthusiast as i've owned the car for 4 years. Then he mentioned the discount.
