low boost
Hi,
i have a problem in a friend's car. It's a Cosworth 3dr with exhaust manifold and turbo of a 4x4.
The turbo can not peak more than 19 psi and holds 13,5 psi.
the turbo it's a new turbo technics s113 with a 360º bearing. I don't see any air leaks.
the car has not the amal valve, it has an air leak in the wastegate to setup the pressure
can be a problem with the new turbo??

check all vacuum lines for splits and make sure dump valve is not faulty. Is it a new actuator on turbo??? As old ones can play up.
Do you mean the boost is set up on a bleed valve???

Basicallly there is no need to adjust your actuator if you have a bleed valve. You do all the adjustments on the bleed valve. I can't remember exactly which way it is now as I dont use one anymore, but winding the bleed valve in or out will adjust the boost either higher or lower. Try adjusting the bleed valve to see if you can get the boost higher.
