Might be hard to get hold of them now until next week as a few of them are gonna be at Autosport international as mentioned above. I find best time to speak to them is in the morning, in the afternnon I often find it difficult to get an answer.

The man that never makes any mis-takes, never makes anything......

Obviously, i havn't been a member of this site for long, it seems as though you would all go a lot further as a collective mind, if you all helped rectify the problems, rather than winged about them?

oh no, bet your well pissed off cos i know how much you were looking forward to gettin it back this weekend!! dont worry, she will be back soon and even better than before

in reply to aRSe - i dont think people whinge about problems they have on here, its more like we all share views and if grant had seen a post like this and all the other bad press about hi spec before hand he would not have bought them like he said!! at the time he was told they were the best for the money he had By him "shareing" whats happened on here its done me (and no doubt others) a favour as i wont get the products now. Keep up the whinging imo

I had problems with hi spec when I had my rover coupe, it took them 3 attempts to make the correct spec brake hose's but they kept on getting them wrong I gave up in the end, very poor service !

Racey, i probably don't come across too well (not an understatement, honest). I build fast road/race cars as a sideline, for me it's a hobby (see tiny's V8 Sapphire). tiny's car came into my workshop to have the exhaust rectified, which then lead on to a whole herd load of work on the car.
The problems i encountered with suppliers (some big reputable names), went from annoying, to literally unbelieveable, and the time penalties incurred were a joke. The only way that car has got to a state where it can be driven was by persistance, and working to solutions, not resting with problems.
Quite a few people have said to me, why don't i build cars as my sole business. Absolutely, no way, people just don't understand the kind of crap, and the run arounds you recieve in the industry. And as far as i'm concerned the buck stops at me if the job aint done on time, and i don't need the hastle (any hastle come to that).
Obviously, if the kit from 'Hi Spec' was incomplete for one reason or another, it aint right. But no ones perfect, and i've seen some seriously talented people torn to shreds on this site, imo their input/talent is a loss to the industry. I think it would have been smarter to have found a constructive way round the problem, rather than tackling it head on, and blowing it way out of proportion? We're only human, after all.
