prob burton just cause its the only company iknow lol, try local engine builders to you as i know that agra and engine resource , the companies up here are pretty reasonable and helpful and only use components of a good standard otherwise they wont put there name to them

go zvh it'd be easier to get 260,300 and if your spending serious money then why not,

get a book on rebuilding and tuning the cvh then a set of tools and crack on yourself its not that hard just need to be precise and keep everything clean, if you do it yourself it keeps costs down aswell and that way you know youve got the personal touch

Iv spoken to sitech and they want to much for a zvh conversion i would rather keep it cvh coz i want it original how hard is it to do i dnt mind giving it ago iv never done somthing that big iv rebuilt my head a few times dats the most iv done really i would go zvh but it looks complicated wots involved
just stick cvh then if thats what your after... im sticking cvh too, check burton for prices, dont think youll need a steel crank but upgraded pistons, rods, rings, new big end s and mains , should make it more reliable, and withstand the extra boost from a t34, im no expert but thats what i would do anyway should cut costs in half mcompared to the 2600 you were quoted, what was offered for that sorta money anyway

Yh i was thinking that id rather get it done properly and jus pay the money just not sure wot company to get it done by burtons or oddkidd both want the same sort of money
Personally if jano and burton power want the same sort of money i would go to jano, i wouldn't touch burton power full stop. Oddkid creations (jano) knows what he is doing with cvh's, as do nms, jamsport.

Jano's not only a top bloke but doesn't bullshit you. his prices are very fair and you always get top service. he's been looking after my RST now for around three years and has never ever tried to tell me i need something when i don't. his cars also speak for themselves. his black xr3 says it all, fast in a straight line, round the corners, it looks awesome and it's reliable. honestly mate give him a bell, he doesn't charge for advice mate. he's helped me out many times before over the phone.

Yh spoke to him mate really gd help going to get some money together he said in between 1500-2000 which sounded fair compared to jamsport who quoted 2599 wot other mods will i need to reach to get 260-300bhp and i was thinkin of goin cossie management any ideas???
what did he quote you for that money mate? forged rods and pistons and engine built up? for that sort off bhp you will need a managment system clutch and gearbox upgrades also mate.
the price sounds good mate.you can either get a cts box wich are pricy and can break and do brake
or the other alternative wich is far better is an mtx gearbox conversion wich are alot better.managment there are loads out there mate and if you talk to jano again about this his weber (cossie) managment conversion are cheaper than anywhere else i can think of.but there is lots of good managment out there to choose from

Is the mtx off the st170??? And dont u have cut out the wing or something and i spoke to him about the management and the cossie management is 1600 supplied not fitted whats involved in fitting cossie management????
I think Jano charges about Ł450 to fit cossie managment, drive in drive out same day. Janos a top bloke, won't rip you off, won't bullshit you and he offers great aftersales service. I've phoned him many many times at 10pm on a Sunday night and he's always picked up the phone and talked me through things. And even though it was cossie managment I didn't even buy it from him and he STILL helped me.

as said before mate you wont go far wrong with jano,st170 box is getrag mate.cossie management is good and reliable

as above mate. on the oddkidd forum there are endless threads about how to fit cossie management to a cvh or zetec or anything to be honest. it's not too hard if you're handy with spanners and wire crimpers and even if you're not that good it can still be done. the key is to find a good loom which isn't always as easy as it sounds. i bought a complete custom made one from jano so i know it'll work. as with any job on these cars mate it's all about taking time and being methodical, making sure everything is done right the first time. give it a go i say. you'll save some cash and it'll be more satisfying knowing you did it yourself, not to mention you'll learn alot about the car in the progress.

I was thinkin of getting the parts from jano and giving it ago iv been reading alot about it and it sounds like its well worth the money and i shouldnt be disappointed. Tom wot is it like on your car if u had to do it again would u or not did u get a power increase.
if you get the loom off jano then its 4 wires to conect to be fair you have to move all the old loom out the way un less you have a non injection loom that is
swap the inlet manifold /alternator over and fit the trigger wheels (basicly doing a cam belt change) there is a few other bits to do but i recon a weekend tops to get it fitted if you know one end of a spanner from another
