can someone please email me the technical bumf on the procedure on changing the cambelt and timing the engine up on a 4x4 greentop engine?

or is it the same as this

phase alignment may be an issue but we can sort that later

DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN thats all really pal pretty easy a hr job if pulley comes off what happend to magenta one?

magenta one is a daily violateor - any who said it was a cosworth - just cos it's 4wd and has a fat pipe

cut off cambelt off with scissors,cut new cambelt with scissors,put it over the pulleys and superglue together

Always tighten tensioner clockwise, use trailing egde of crank sensor trigger ad change tensioner.

Those are all teh tip s you need other than how to align phase sensor correctly.. do asearch on PF for that

stu - i'm quite illeterate when it comes to the cosworth engine and doing jobs like cambelt - never done one, would really like someone in the know to oversee as i dont wanna get the cam timing out and have my valves love my pistons

pops ya coont they aint no ordinmary biscuits - they are chocolate hobnobs

get a gates belt its a 5248xs fits pug 605 diesel aswell half fords price

To be honest, at 15+yrs old id be doin it anyway.... Not a pretty site when the bearings collapse in em!!

Tensioners about £35 Belt about £35 from memory.

stu - i'm replacing everything i can thats serviceable - i dont want the engine to go JUST yet

tensioner is a matter of course - was advised to repalce it everytime the belt was changed

pops - yer only jealous cos u aint getting any good lovin
