can any one help have a 1.8gti r reg with a tick over prob was told it was idle valve so had that changed which helped for a while.now when car is cold it ticks over at 1000rpm when it reaches normal temp rpm rises to 1500 when you drive car take foot of the throttle and car drives itself for a while and goes back to normal tick over 15oo rpm i have been told it could be a sensor so replaced
air temp sensor
temperature sensor
idle control valve
maf
throttle position sensor
im now at my wits end and may end up scrapping car as it has already cost me a small fortune and this is my last plea for help please help many thanks

 

did you fit a new idle sensor or a second hand one?

 

little breather that presses into the main breather at the front of the engine
its like a little insert that poke out teh top then has a breather tube coming off it and going up

i had similar probs, changed everything then tryed that and done Ł18 from ford

mine rattles, could remove it and see if yours does, new 1 didnt
i have since stripped the car i could send you mine for a tenspot 1st rec

just went out to take a picture
its pulled on in the last pic
also have maf etc
