Default escort cosworth fuel pressure???

hi can anyone tell me what fuel pressure i should run on my stage 3 escort cosworth ?????? ive just fitted a fse power boost pressure reg what pressure at idle for stage 3 with or without vac?????

Standard is 3,5bar without the vac-hose.

But you have to check what your chip manufacturer says!!

Why have you fitted an FSE reg out of interest?, the std escort reg is more then up to the job at stage 3 power and I would trust one ALOT more than an FSE reg.

i was given a fse reg so thought id put it on!!! just wandered if i could up the pressure if it would help in any way?? ive got a 1992 escort cos with stage 3 pts chip, 3 bar map sensor, bosch 803 green injectors, rs 500 intercooler, t34 turbo, collins actuator, bosch 023 intank uprated fuel pump, running 1.5 bar boost???

Because with my experiance with them I found the to be very inconsitant with fuel pressure, So if any car came to me for mapping I would refuse to map it.

Because there crap to be brutally honest mate, its not worth melting your engine over something like this especially when a std one is well up to the job and works better than the one you have fitted. Mark is one of the top tuners in the country he knows what he is talking about when he says put it in the bin lol

ok guys thats fair enough thanks for your honesty!!! i will refit my original one tommorow!! i know marks good he sorted my last saph cossie for me!!! one more question what plug gaps should i be running with 25 psi boost?? ive got genuine ford plugs in recomended by woodford motorsport??

On a stock coil 25thou works well.
