Default Temperature

Hi Mate's

Since i have my cossie the temp meter stays verry high when he is on normal temperature. The meter stays almost in the red.
I've measure on the rad and the hoses etc with a IR meter. The temp is everywhere good.
De sensor from the meter in the head is new and have no diference.
So what to do, a new meter? Can i bought this by ford? Or isnt it the right sensor?

Already thanks!
Cheers

The wrong sensor(resistance) will certainly give a different reading, they can usually be told apart from the coloured ring on the base of the stud that the connector goes on, not sure what colour is correct, but cossie/sierra/ford guages of this era not the most accurate in the world, maybe try a new sender from matt lewis, or just put up with it.
The early mk1 gauges actually had an(mechanical) adjustment on the fuel and temp gauge readings.
