Trying to quit my addiction but not your normal one...
Ok so i have an addiction and as of today have decided to give it up for good, now its not your normal smoking, drinking or drugs habit. For me it happens to be chocolate. Now im sure as most people do will find this quite funny but just like any other habit im totally hooked on it.For as long as i can remember.. have without fail every single day of the week worked it out for the last 12 years roughly had a large bar, sometimes two of chocolate for breakfast and the same again in the evening, now im not talking about a normal size bar i mean the darymilk one thats about a foot long ,costs about £2 in the shops. So for the last two mornings ive decided not to have any...and omg i have been feeling very tired, had headaches, cant be bothered mood (which isnt like me at all) grumpy and generally feeling very low and depressed. Now this does sound a bit ott but can only be down to the chocolate as nothing else has changed in my life/diet.What im wondering is has anyone else been in a similar situation and will it get easier...
Pls try to keep the piss taking to a minimum lol

I wouldnt say so im 6.0 foot tall and weigh around 13.5 stone. The reason for giving up is mainly because ive come to learn that excessive amounts of chocolate can be linked to depression something which ive suffered with for a while so thought if i can knock the chocolate on the head maybe it will help with this also.
Without sounding like a total plank whats 'serotonin'? Ive worked out that cutting out completely straight away is a no no, so will cut down the amount i eat to 1 small bar less than a quarter of what i currently eat per day over the next month or two

The body makes serotonin itself and its in the brain carrying 'feel-good' signals . Some people have less and can feel depressed.
Chocolate is meant to boost the serotonin so there is more there to carry happy signals.
I'm the same, ALL i drink is coke. Well appart from a couple of coffee's and a few stella's. Couldnt do that diet shit tbh
Get a job in a chocolate factory. A friend told me not so long ago that they knew someone who worked in one and they were told they could eat as much chocolate as they wanted whilst they were working. Most people got so sick of it in a short space of time that they ended up eating less chocolate than the average person does.
Why give up? Chocolate is good for you. Cocoa beans and Milk. What else could go wrong? Make sure you use the energy you get from the chocolate, or you'll end up a pie.

i know next to nothing about chocky, sugar levels etc but i do know refined sugar is known as the 'food cocanna ' of the world. Its a highly addictive food source that half the time we dont realise this. Probably more so. Im sure someone can tell you the full facts. certain sugars are good for you but refined sugars must be highly energizing hence why people eat in morning etc. Then the slippery slope starts. Big rush, big fall then more chocolate/cola n so on
I thought tea has caffine too but not as much as coffee??
