i just spent 3k on parts lol.... for my s1 so should have it out soon i would like it to be ready for central day as its on the seriesoneturbo stand but might be a push..
parts i got are:
fully rebuilt 1600 with low comp woszner pistons and pec rods with arp everything and uprated oil pump and fully lightened and balanced including flywheel.
power engineering stage 3 big valve head and hi lift cam
ported mfi to efi adaptor plate and custom inlet...(off mk's old field motorsport xr2) and billet fuel rail.
ap paddle clutch kit.
full gotech mfi ecu and cutom braided loom/motor sport leads and arp head stud kit.
cosworth throttle bodie.
rs mud flaps
and im getting a custom manifold and turbo and down pipe ...its one of the ones that puts the turbo above the gearbox and the down pipe goes down the back of the block..
also in the deal it will have closed loop set up .
so im gunna be selling all my bits soon.
ive got brand new cr turbos stage 3 t3 with all the fittings on a autospecialists stainless manifold and down pipe will be going at 500 and chipped ecus ect
70k bottom end that had new shells and rings and pins 3k ago for a 100 and loads more head with piper cam 100 ono needs lifters.

Nice mate
Should see 250HP +
Although i wouldn't have chosen "low comp pistons" The drive imo is shit i have stock CR wossner piston's mate and so lovely and agressive
Low comp is just nothing then BANG imo i don't like that very dangrous for a car nearly stacked my S2 a few time's like that!

lol well im hoping to get a bit more when its done but as learnt from these forums i aint getting optomistic like someone (d4rst) lol well the guy said to me they were normal compression but they look like they are low comp but im unsure realy.... if i find it realy laggy it will end up with anti lag on it anyway lol.

Yeah it won't be laggy as such it'll wind up but when it does bang
It should be very fast either way
Either way mate a stunning motor and gonna be a cracking engine

So basically off the back of that crazy i should get an inlet manifold (custom) and i'll see another 14HP with 4PSI less of boost
Tubular manifold's don't do squat anyway or is it for what they do it's not worth the money as stock ford item can flow 300HP
Although as John says his head was Stage 3 (but thats normally big valve John?!), so maybe the manifolds make more of a difference than we think?!

I'd guess that is down to the head porting mostly? We know stock manifolds are good for 350+ (not to say they cant be improved or course), what cam was that on?

Flipping heck if inlet and exhaust manifold's do that much mate we should go down that route

loooking good mark i have seen your car on seriesone looks good and running 250ish in a lightish shell is quick mine has between 225 and 250 in my s1 , mine has a watercooled t35 turbo 360 degree thrust bearing and fifth injector, chargecooler etc 2 stage boost 10psi and 20 psi and its quick enough for an old school front wheel drive car as personally i think more than that its just spins up the wheels and puts a massive strain on gearbox, mine is good enginewise but unlike yours the bodywork is not brill and getting attention atm looking forward to getting it back good luck mark
