Default omex 500

Hi everyone what is the omex 500 management system like would i have to get it mapped by a pro or would it be possible to plug into my own laptop and have ago myself as this is what im wanting to learn about, or would i be better getting megasquirt?

I've used a 600 and found it a fantastic little unit for the price you pay! Wouldn't hesitate to use one again!

A good base to start learning with. It's not too complex and Omex will give you help on the phone on how to make changes to the ECU settings and they'll send you a base map to get the car running.

What car/engine? You may be able to get the gear to map what you have currently. As above omex 600 and 710 are good.
Others to look at..... entry level price wise are mtech v4, emerald k3, dta s40.
