What to do if you've lost your V5?
As above, I have sold my car to my missus and need to put it in her name but i cant find the V5 anywhere, what do i do about getting a new one?

Contact DVLA and they will send you a new one in exchange for Ł20.

Sweet, ill have a good look at the weekend for it, if i cant find it ill order a new one monday

If your the registered keeper its free to apply for a new V5, its only Ł20 if your the new keeper with no proof of ownership.

duplicate v5 is Ł25 and you can order over the phone and pay by debit or credit card.

Have to for insurance reasons, otherwise its invalid!
