Default Mk6 escort pedal conversion experts.. WTF have i done wrong

Hi Chaps,
Never tried this conversion before but fitted it today onto an escort turbo. I followed the AP instructions to the letter but now the pedal sits way too high, about 2 inches too high i'd say, I removed 10 teeth off of the new quadrant and fitted the locknut back to front on the adjuster bolt. I've wound the bolt as far out as it'll go and the pedal is sitting as the pictures show. The only thing i can think of is to remove more of quadrant BUT has anyone else had this problem?
The pedal and quadrant were the same part no's as AP recmomend!

Any ideas?

Ahhh, that brings back memories... I just lived with mine.

I had that on my bean tin and IIRC its down to cutting the nylon quadrant, so I'd remove slightly more and see where that gets you mate.

Cheers,
Grant

You need the cut the quadrant down so it looks identical to this:

This is my metal quadrant which I happen to have spare.
