Thats the problem collecting 1:18th scale, finding the space....lol.
I fitted extra shelves to all my cabinets to give double capcity. Some of the models i have had for years but i started collecting more often back in 1993/94.

Blackfocus20- was your display cabinet from ikea? its just that it looks alot like the one im about to buy from there when i can be bothered to drive over there lol, and last time i was there i saw that u can but these extra shelf bits to go on each shelf, made from metal and about 5 inches eep, so u could have models lined up like u have then a few sideways on the extra shelf bit.

I know what u all mean about space, ive totally run out of room on my shelving unit and have a few of my not so favourite ones that i keep in my cupboard. I to might sell some that i dont like as much (vw beetle, mini cooper, bmw z3 etc) as like yesterday i bought 2 more fords (focus rally cars) and im watching 5 models on ebay at moment lol.

.....why didnt i collect 1/43 scale, anyone else ask themselves that lol

See loads of people have the Ikea cabinet.

Here's mine in the sitting room as of 10 minutes ago.

Main cabinet

Then in my office corner under the stairs.

General Lee wouldn't fit in the cabinet so lived above my PC with my slot cars RS1600 and Lotus Cortina (oh and the Disney Cars Lightening McQueen)

Last shelf is my 2 RC cars

a local glass shop that does mirrors and all sorts only Ł3 each but u have to finish the edges youself, another glazier shop wanted Ł13 each cos had to order them all polished and rounded edges. they are fixed in with 5mm wire rope clamps from B&Q with draw stoppers on top for the glass to sit on
