Thats the problem collecting 1:18th scale, finding the space....lol.

i have loads in originalboxes in loft as i need to get more cabinets,
and yep mine seems to be getting a obsession rather than a hobby lol!!
they just take up to much room 1/18..

EssexMikeSi Mar 28, 2010 08:28 AM

Blackfocus20- was your display cabinet from ikea? its just that it looks alot like the one im about to buy from there when i can be bothered to drive over there lol, and last time i was there i saw that u can but these extra shelf bits to go on each shelf, made from metal and about 5 inches eep, so u could have models lined up like u have then a few sideways on the extra shelf bit.

I know what u all mean about space, ive totally run out of room on my shelving unit and have a few of my not so favourite ones that i keep in my cupboard. I to might sell some that i dont like as much (vw beetle, mini cooper, bmw z3 etc) as like yesterday i bought 2 more fords (focus rally cars) and im watching 5 models on ebay at moment lol.

.....why didnt i collect 1/43 scale, anyone else ask themselves that lol

PHAT C Mar 28, 2010 12:01 PM

lol yeah cld fit ten times the amount in the display case lol but not as impressive as 1.18 ;-)

PHAT C Mar 28, 2010 12:48 PM

only have room for 2 display's and have them all piled up on top and around lol

a local glass shop that does mirrors and all sorts only £3 each but u have to finish the edges youself, another glazier shop wanted £13 each cos had to order them all polished and rounded edges. they are fixed in with 5mm wire rope clamps from B&Q with draw stoppers on top for the glass to sit on ;-)

Glenn_ Jul 14, 2010 06:59 PM

Wow love the pics.I want more ford models myself.
