Metal headgaskets are very good IF you have two flat surfaces. It requires your head and block to be very true as there is little room for play. With a fiber gasket, you get a little room for error. I was recommended by tabetha on here to run a yb 0611 group a gasket. I run 400+ and it has coped no problem at all. This is what I would recommend.

i had one, used a recommended sprayglue, didnt seal, leaked from the oil channels. had a skimmed block, head wasn´t but measured straight. changed to o-rings and grp a gasket instead. might have sealed if i had retightened the bolts some people say.

I heard the same thing about about multi layer and group A metal ones. The two surfaces must be completly flat. I went for the YB 0611 Group A Victor Reinz HG as this is much more forgiving if the two surfaces are not completly flat. Many people run the YB 0611 with 450+ BHP with no problems.

This is what i've done

Torque in sequence up to 60 lb ft, then 80,100, then finalise at 120lb ft.

If you're using the ARP stud & nut kit tap out the holes to clean up the threads and use a little bit of engine oil on them when torquing

Copied from Cometic website;

Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gaskets go on dry because they are coated with a sealant. Each MLS head gasket is coated with a .001" thick viton rubber that is bonded to the outer stainless steel layers. Adding an additional sealer can hinder the performance of an MLS head gasket.

I did this in one way if I remember correctly
