Just got back from visiting my mum and dad on the IOW. In one day I saw two mk2 green FRS's, a lovely looking 3 door, a mk1 FRS, a mk1 and a mk2 escort.


Just thought it was old codgers over there! Anyone off here?

 

sorry bout thread revive bud, i noticed this, 2 saphs, a 4i, mk2 escort van, god knows how many mk1 mondeos, st 24 and 200 oldish fez zetec s, focus sts, two mk3 granadas one being estate mk4 cab and spotted on the motorway and next to us on ferry a scorpio

 

There are a few nice RSs over her not just old gubbers in metros.

 

Havn't seen the white sapphire that parks up on the way from newport to ryde for a while, always looked well looked after
Have seen a lot of nice cars over there over the years unfortunatly you don't get a good look as some old git cuts you up/pulls out etc.......

 

There are alot of classics on the island I have noticed, I know of a white 4x4 Saph in someones drive, it had some accident damage last time I saw it.

iow is full of inbreeds i was once told by a girl i was shagging that lived there that she was gonna get her dad, brother, and uncle to give me a kickin, i wasnt that fussed when i found out they were all the same person

 

Went down with my other half and we saw a caged mk1 or 2 escort that went like summit else. Plenty FRS and other nice cars, even non ford but also plenty dogs too. Like a metro gsi with quad 4" tailpipes that I left standing on a 1.0 micra (rental) and a 206 with m&m design all over.

I love the IOW, used to holiday there as a kid, if the weather is nice it is a great place. I remember summers where it was so hot the sand burnt your feet, funny as fook watching people get halfway to the see and then start hoping like a cat on a hot tin roof deciding which was closer, their beech towel or the see!!
