Iv just gone and pick up the spare head of my m8 for my mk4 rs turbo cab.
we both dont no if this head is staged or not.
could someone help me find out? wot do i have to look for? all i no is that the exhaust valve look verry close to the edge of the head.

 

look to see if the ports are smooth or still have casting marks in them or if u kno standard diameter measure them to see if they are larger to tell u if its been ported, will need to find out the dia of a standard valves an masure these too as a big valve head is another 'stage' of tune this should also inc 3 angle valve seats so have a look there too, i believe the rest is to do with the valvetrain ie, cam an followers
