Default Raising boost - 218D Rover lmfao!

No taking the piss you lot!

Bought a Rover 218D on a 'M' yesterday as a daily smoker, anyone know how to up the boost slightly and turn the pump up?

Its not slow but could do with a little kick upthe arse, going to stick some fresh oil and new filters in it today and drill the airbox for a bit more noise

But like I said I dont want to make it rapid but hoping that by tweaking it slightly it wont affect the reliability?

Someone told me last night to wind the nut out on the actuator but I wanted to ask people with a bit more of an idea first.

Cheers all,
Paul

If it's the Peugeot engined one then yes, increase boost and fuel. Google Pug/Citroen diesel tuning if nothing comes up for the Rover.

I don't think you will have to play with the actuator at all. Just increase fuel, the boost pressure (if not mechanically limited) will rise automatically. It's a diesel after all.

For old TDIs you can buy "tuning boxes" which are basically a resistor plugged into the injection pump wiring. Some are even adjustable. I know it's a pikey way of doing it but it's only a Rover ffs...

Surely they're must be something available for Pug/Citroen/Rover
