No taking the piss you lot!

Bought a Rover 218D on a 'M' yesterday as a daily smoker, anyone know how to up the boost slightly and turn the pump up?

Its not slow but could do with a little kick upthe arse, going to stick some fresh oil and new filters in it today and drill the airbox for a bit more noise

But like I said I dont want to make it rapid but hoping that by tweaking it slightly it wont affect the reliability?

Someone told me last night to wind the nut out on the actuator but I wanted to ask people with a bit more of an idea first.
