Default FAO rs turbo owners with a ACT gauge.. how did you fit yours

As above...

tried fitting mine today to my fiesta, it says in the instructions "REMOVE AN ELBOW CONNECTOR FROM THE INLET MANIFOLD" but there is no elbow connector?!?! couldn't find anywhere to connect this to, so gave up...

Any fiesta rs turbo or escort rs turbo owners with this gauge, please help, wanna know what you did to fit yours!! if you've got any pictures that would be quality!!

cheers rich

The Fiesta is a bit different as it doesn't have the two 90 degree elbows.

Mate of mine just chopped the elbow to leave the sensor wire and undone the jubilie clip that secures the hose to the throttle body and popped the wire under the pipe into the airflow and then nipped up the jubilee clip again. Not ideal but it seems to work ok without any probs

Rich,
On the FRST you need to drill and tap the inlet plenum 1/8" BSP (as close as possible to the standard ACT sensor for the ECU so that the gauge is seeing what the ECU is seeing) to get the "factory fit" look. You can then screw in the elbow and either blank this off OR fit a vacuum pipe to this for a boost gauge. You MUST do one or the other, or it will be leaking air from the elbow.

Hope this helps and sorry for the confusion, you obviously got sent the instructions for an RST.
Best regards
