Default escos 200 block.....is this to much of a problem to worry about??

Hi guys, as in the pic have i got anything to worry about?? Can it be sorted easily enough/or does it not really matter

That looks like its gone down the thread, I'd be fitting a new block.

What prompted you to remove the head ? Could be this was the cause ???

hmmmmmm not good then!!! This was removed from a rolled escos which i bought as a whole car years back,then was gonna get the lump re-built with all new parts......but plans have changed some what now and was gonna sell it!!

Large paperweight anyone??

i thought that could be sorted with long studding i was told as i bought a block with cracked head bolt studs as i was going the long stud route anyway,

i aint gonna repair this as i was gonna sell it......but the mixed opinions i dont know how to price it.....especially if it is repairable!

I wish i'd left the head on now!!! lol

wot TABETHA is saying is you send it in and have long studds put in which means you will be pulling the head down on a studd that is taped well down in the block past the crack and its all so stronger the deeper down in the block so it will not crack any more hope you under stand

yeah i see what you mean now deffo a stud job, i had an rs turbo block cracked like that and when i wound a bolt into it , it was opening the crack up more but like you say a stud would be fine
