I have replaced the box with no probs and it has been fine for 3 weeks. But all of a sudden its started to get hard to put into gear. When the engine is turned of its fine, and the also fine when it first turns on. But after it warms up is when it starts to get hard.

Do you think that it might need more fluid, because i checked it and it wasnt leaking out, so i assume that means it is not full, if its not this what else should i check?

What car is it, is it difficult to engage any gear at any given road speed? Normally I fill the box till the filler plug level. So yes it would be good idea to add little oil.

get a paper clip and bend it out.rest it on the thread where the plug was and you will get a reading.make sure the clip is half way down and not straight.let us know what reading you get.as said above,fill it up,get a light and you should see the oil near the plug level.getting the oil in is the fun part.
