frog,i just got told that by someone else aswell

its had a sticky one for about 6 months now,but only did it for like a minute when you first started it up from cold when it had been no used for like 4 weeks

but i did an oil change last night and i noticed that i seemed to stick every now and then even when it was warm, comes and goes

so you reckon cleaning them might work then?

If u get em done pops i hope u dont have the same problem as me, which was the studs pulling out of the head while you tighten the cams back down.

I did them on my 4x4 when I rebuilt the head as a way of saving a bit of money , not a squeak, not a rattle since.
I dunno how long it will last, but considering the amount of cr*p that came out of them, I am not surprised the little fellas were sticky.

It's maybe an hour's work or so to clean them over a couple of days while they soak - there's a few posts here about it.

Well worth it unless you have the cash for new ones, which I would have done at the time but were skint !
