I did them on my 4x4 when I rebuilt the head as a way of saving a bit of money

, not a squeak, not a rattle since.
I dunno how long it will last, but considering the amount of cr*p that came out of them, I am not surprised the little fellas were sticky.
It's maybe an hour's work or so to clean them over a couple of days while they soak - there's a few posts here about it.
Well worth it unless you have the cash for new ones, which I would have done at the time but were skint !
