Default Ashley Exhausts

Chaps, I am looking for a bit of expert guidance here. I have a XR2i track car and need to upgrade the exhaust system in the coming weeks.

Since it already has the Ashley 4-1 manifold, it seems sensible to go for the same brand. But no-one at Ashley or the specialist retailers can tell me if it will pass the stringent noise tests on track days.

Does anyone have the system/know of a mate with one that may have tracked their car? Or better still, anyone know the DB's the 3" tail system would be pumping out?

Cheers,

Is it in the hot hatch series ?, there are a few tricks you can do with noise limits, if adjustable timing just knock the ignition timing back a few degrees till after noise test, the rest to best setting, buggered if track has microphones on it though!!
When getting noise tested put in gear and load the engine a bit makes it a touch quieter.

Thanks for the advice Tabetha. I will definately give those a try if I can't find one that suits.

The car is fairly well prepared but I am only doing track days in it for now to bed in all the mods I have done as well as getting more familiar with the car. A few chums have suggested I look at the hot hatch or stock hatch series.

The xr2(not i) pisses all over the saxo on handling/cornering but lose out on the straights, got two peeps I know just both changed from xr2 to saxo in the series.
