collected mates st fiesta with him today from TOTD. the engine is now a focus blacktop zt mainly built by Clarke5700, made 214bhp @ 6psi @5500rpm which i thought was good? which was running rich as car had no fpr fitted .
It has farnden rods, accrashite pistons, piper or kent cams, equal length exhaust manifold by 'zetaboostboy' and area siz inlet tunning on gt30.71 wastegate was set down to 6psi and looking to run 24ish. if im right from looking at the graph turbo comes on boost @2200rpm

 

duno what those cams are like? has it had any other head work done? id imagine about 370bhp? rough geuss

 

should make good power that 214bhp at 6 psi thats pretty good

 

what kind of ft/lb was it putting out

 

not sure, i didnt actually look as map is spluttery in places as he needs to sort few things on car, was very impressed for the boost level though.

 

i know what u mean on the sorting out a few things i just had mine mapped and that made 230bhp at 13psi and 300ft/lb at 3500 revs but we didnt set the boost up at all that was just running of the actuators,so ive still got to take it back for a propper map due to the wiring problems had a misfire at 6000rpm under load so couldnt mapp it right

 

Once fully mapped, got around 400 or so as long as he doesnt meet a restriction with head or cams??

hi mate i take it this is alexs car. has the engine had any head work apart from the cams? if not around 330/350bhp @ 24 psi , mine did 418bhp @ 23 psi at 6500rpm but the old t61 wasnt in its sweet spot until 7000rpm. sounds like it will be a nice drivable engine coming on boost at 2500rpm.

would be nice to see if the race 4-1 merge collector will add any major gains as lance at ojz said they are a good 20% more efficient than the pot design

will do mate, manifold looks to have a blow atm, think it may be coming from the collector as comes out the heatwrap the other end we think? shall have a better look sometime but he's very pleased i believe, was cursing the manifold (well the pain its caused him bonnet wont close properly now , turbo wouldn'f fit due to the 6 speed box lol) none of which your fault lol as think you done a lovely job and still cant wait to see what mine makes with the manifold lol

 

hes running neman cams en yes i was slitly conserned when he said about running the standard FPR im inpressed at the power its making so far tbh. i gess time will tell lol.

Just read on ukfn that hes still running standard intank FPR. IS he nuts?

Surely he needs the new FPR on to go on before he gets the mapping finished not after

 

he's only had a base map done so far, will all be sorted before final map
