Me and a friend are starting our own local ford meet, 1st one will take place on the Tuesday 2ND of march, then it will be the 1st Tuesday of each month. everyone is welcome but looking more for pre 90 and all the xr st and rs models after that, sleepers rat or subtle too or top of the range of your model. like myself I only tax my cars during the summer and weather not great so not everyone wants to bring they pride and joys out just yet. so do come down say hello meet a few chaps and try and gather a group for the summer when the toys do come out. They will be a few fords poking about on the night so would be nice if other people can bring theirs. We have got a nice selection of cars Mk1 Mk2 rs2000s, Mk2 mexico's, Mk1 Mk2 fiestas sports xr2 etc, cortinas, capris, Mk4 Mk5 xr3i, 3dr cosworth, saph cosworth, couple of escort cosworths. few rs turbos, vans and some sleepers. so in April/may we will have a good turnout cars and A nice mixture of young and older drivers, 25 -50 so far. Hi mate all the best with the meets iv done wot your just starting out at . and one thing that will help you tell all the members down your way that there is a meet on /were/when is set up a group that was you can PM them . as one of the things that some of the lads in birmingham said to me that they had mist my post to say a meet was . we still had some very good meets but its nice when every one nows .
the Birmingham Group has 40 lads in it . have a look into it and when you see some one on from down your way send a PM to them about the group and that will get the ball rolling all the best

yes is a shame, south east Essex is also on the same night, I get march night done, talk to the group and try and change it to the 2ND Tuesday of each month, If it means their be more opportunities that other people can make it also gives ford drivers more nights to take their car out.

Yes it is, can stretch the old girls leg, up to 60 anyway. Yeah bit of a journey about an hour. are you are regular for the Kent meet at brands hatch, just up the road from you.

 

Exellent i live in ashford an love that road, will get the battery hooked up 2 my 3dr, an get 2gether sum of my mates. that`ll mean my 3dr, 2 sapphs, an escos, mk1 an 2 focus rs and a 4x4 cossie series 1.

I reckon you should change to the 2nd tues aswell, to hopefully get a few more attending.

 

Great, v nice selection of cars be looking forward to seeing them, A good few of us will be taking our daily drives which are still fords for the 1st meet, i sorn mine and tax in April, but am trying to get mk1 fiesta rebuild finished but that prob be April to. should be a nice mix of cars, any Anglia drivers out their.....

 

Be good if you can make it, even if your ford cant, 1st one really trying to get a group together make sure the venue/location is OK, meet and greet to make a good busy summer. As I said before I probably will change it to the 2ND Tuesday of each month, and in the summer do some sundays try and do tours around Kent, bbqs etc.
