9ff's new 9F-V400 (silly name) did 241.1mph (exactly 1mph faster than the macca)

Thats properly going man! they reckon thats about it for Nardo so are going elsewhere to try 400kph! (almost 250mph!)

Tiff, the only modification made to the macca was the removal of the rev limiter to allow it to reach those speeds.

Although the Macca did it at the VW testing facility not Nardo, so i'm not entirely sure what Porkie is getting at.. A modified, not strictly road legal car beats a standard, road legal car.. I think it will have to do more than 241.1mph to get any sort of record in that stakes (Thrust SSC anyone?? )

 

I thought the McLaren did a little over 245

The only thing NON-stock on the McLaren F1 was the rev limit. Everything else was as they were delivered.
