is easy mate make sure the clutch is lined up nice and straight then lift the box and wiggle tillit goes on the splines its all about the wiggle lol

Have you put the clutch on the input shaft on the gear box to make shower its the right on . if so have you used a alignment tool to get in the center of the fly wheel

another good trick is use a 1/2" exstetion fron ur scocket set and line it up by eye that how i normaly do it but i have axses 2 a set of ramps easy for me 2 get and look

they can be tricky sometimes, just stick with it and give it awigle and twist the box incase the splines are quite in sliding position.

I remember having fun doing this then it wiggled on and i was like, wot was all the fuss about lol
i swear i could do it in less than half the time now.

lol, was at the garage a bit early and whaiting for my mate and i said to my self, its all about the wiggleing
so i tried... it slided straight in
did not have to wiggle that much.... dont see what all the fuz is about
lined it up prefectly first though!
so finally the engine is back in the car
thanks for the help
btw, what size are the bolts that goes on the gearbox for connecting the rods to the gearbox changer?
