ST170 Headlights in a mk1 focus?

Default ST170 Headlights in a mk1 focus?

Hi there, i was thinking of upgrading my pre facelift mk1 focus headlights to st170/facelift ones but i imagine you need a different loom?
has anybody done this or is there anybody that can help me out?

no problem, you'll need complete headlights and VW (yes, I'm sober) connector plugs (part no 1J0973735, at any VW/skoda/audi dealer) and a bit of time to put the wires in the correct pins...

not really, if you buy also VW connector wires (yellow ones), you'll just have to cut off old plug and connect new wires according to the scheme - an hour of work maybe, half for a car electrician (with headlight swap of course)

I did it on both my focus', nothing to be afraid of

I bought looms off an FFOC member already done when I did mine years ago. Mine still used the indecator in the bumper.

where did you get the indicator bits from in the front bumper they look nothing like my ones

Their made by Hella. Can also get Morette ones but their not quite as nice.

im sure iv seen some wiring adaptors you can buy to convert the mk1 to mk1.5 headlights..

i think they come with some of the mk1.5 headlights you can buy on ebay

the kit consists of the plug and wires I told you about - it's cheaper to buy it at VW:

breakers yard, get them of a mk4 golf, if you can't find a focus 1, did mine last month, easy, i just used crimps for mine cost me a fiver

Sorry for the thread resurrection! Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the new plug? I don't really want to have to guess which wire goes where.
