Just bought a mk3 xr2i 1.8 zetec model has mega rust problems around the rear arches but other than that its a sound car. By the end of the year (2005) its hopefully going to be up and running with a standard cossie lump. Im doing all the work myself with a little bit of advice from a very good friend who has done a coosie fiesta Cant wait to get it running

Got the shell down bare now and I've got more rust than I first thought!! Got find myself all the parts now to get it going cant wait hopefully a year and will be up and running

Its going to be rwd, I have thought about 4x4 but I think rwd is going to be abit more fun, just have to watch the back end At the moment im just saving my money up to get the engine, gearbox, prop, and rear axle then I can start having abit of fun with the angle grinder and welder
