Question problem with vauxhall calibra - NEED A FAST RESPONCE!!

hi got a problem with my mates vauxhall calibra, none of the interior electrics work, rev counter, heated seats, fuel + temp gauge etc............

he changed the alternator but still no avail.

im thinking interior relay? what do you think?

Checking fuses and relays would be my first port of call.

Beyond that I would be looking to trace a short in the wiring somewhere.

check the connectors in the n/s/f footwell(behind the covers!)but they are corroded to fuck!!

had a look at tehe relays and theres only 3 of them, they look ok, didnt have time to check the footwell cover as we were busy!

radio does not work either, but lights and horn do work?

It is all on one fuse iirc, my old cavalier did the same.

Fuse rings a bell for that problem. Sure I had a cavalier that did that.

i`d check every fuse, i had wipers not working once, checked the fuse, was ok, then started stripping wiper switch to pieces, then a mate turned up and said check all the fuses, i said ive checked the wiper one, turns out the labelling on the fuse box didnt match, and it was a fuse....

Just look in the handbook or on the lid of the fuse bax and see which fuse is the required one, if not just check each one in turn, it ain't a hard job!

My astra did that, as said above, cheack the big connector block in the passenger footwell on the left. My bet is that its full of water! I just snipped the wires and soldered them together to bypass the connector.

IIRC on the fusebox cover there are some labelled K(then number) I believe one of those was the fault on mine. Defo check EVERY fuse to eliminate that option.
