It's pegged the AFR reading. It's very rich. What map is it?

yes the bloke said its rich, it was live mapped recently by auto mark, when he mapped it he did mention there was still a bit more fuel left for a bit more boost, he mapped it around 1.3bar, i have a boost controller fitted, im guessing upping the boost by a few more psi would even things out a bit ?

A bit more fuel for more boost??!! That thing is hella rich. They do run that rich as standard, but thats surely the point of having it 'live' mapped?

Wonder if thats a case of someone having supposedly 'live' mapped it, but instead just plonked a generic map in there?

isnt the idea of a live map to have everything spot on and no over/under fuelling etc etc, if its not spot on you may aswell have a off the shelf chip for a third of the price

As above...i don't think whoever the guy is has mapped your engine to run at its optimum, sure turn the fuelling up if you were going to run more boost but you haven't so sould be running spot on for the boost you are running!!! I'd be giving him a ring and telling him the results of your rolling road session......

you should'nt need a tweak here and there if it was live mapped unless there was a problem with the car that you needed to fix and return at a later date.

Mine was live mapped a few months ago and is still rich top end, intake temps were very high - high 50's on rollers, I need A2A to get more out of it when funds allow.

On this one the ceramic on 2 of the plugs were cracked hence the slight drop in power. Also had the boost lowered a touch on spool up.

This was the result just after the Unichip was fitted

There's also something badly wrong after 5500RPM!!!!!

Why is the boost lower on one run?

coz i have a boost controller fitted and wanted to see what power it was at at run 1 (1.35bar)

and at run 2 (0.9 bar)

Ah right gotcha!

What turbo are you running to hold 20psi and what other mods?

Mine went down to 17psi top end and its still making over 310bhp at 6500rpm.

With better mapping you should be able to get much more power for the boost your running.

Motorscopes RR is well known to overead so knock 30hp off to be safe. Get a decent map and you should then see a genuine 290@ fly or 320 @ motorscope, lol.

It's easy to see with yours how the fuelling is affecting the power, look at the drop in power at 4500rpm, then reference it to the AFR plot!!

vinny am i right in thinking that when auto mark live mapped it , you didnt have the boost controller it was purchased afterwards ???

may go some way to reasoning why he left it rich until you had it fitted and set the boost controller up ,

Running it at sub 10:1 is risking bore-wash IMO. Shouldn't be left like that really, whatever the reason. If the scope is there, it should be corrected then looked at again if the spec changes, not mapped on the rich side in anticipation of something that you might do.

Just got me car back today after taking it back in for the fella to see why the fueling was all to fluff !!

he noticed 2 bolts holding the turbo compressor housing missing ! he sorted this out live mapped it again and it made another 30bhp on the rollers, getting it up to 326bhp

also when i was driving it before, there was a loud hissing when on boost, i thought it was to loud for a turbo hiss, this has now dissapeered after he sorted the bolts out....it must have been the air pishing out the comp. housing!

sorted anyway, driving so smooth now..well pleased !

No shit sherlock, congrats on repeating what's already been written

No doubt they're off for the reasons the OP posted above your mistimed comment, allow me to remind you:

Pleased for you, good to see the issues sorted. Hopefully the new AFR plot will read better. From the sounds of it, at a different RR place would be ideal
