i just bought this a month ago and have had nothing but trouble with it gota have new turbo, cylinder head hub loadsa bits wrong. any way does any1 no it, owned it, recognise it? its just i have no history watsoever, and ford said i need to no where it was serviced to get the history if any.

or it would be brill if sum1 out there ( previous owner ) still has the service book etc?

Welcome to PassionFord. Sorry to hear that about the car. Dont recognise it either.

If you found out the dealer that the car was service'd at, they can print off the service history for it. I was told this by my ford dealer a few years ago as my Focus at the time had a gap in the service history.

yeah thanks mate i will, i think ive solved most of the probs now, ive got the turbo rebuilt at a cost of 450quid the head is off being rebuilt now at another 250quid, ive already had other bills of 450 labour costs for dodgey bearing the last owners garage fitted, then hopefully it will be fine,

when the head was off had a good look at the block and pistons, they were very carbonised on top and very oily, mechanic said that this was okay jst tired from the use, i guess this type of car will have had a lot of stick unless u buy a very low miler or sum1 has looked after it meticulasly, ive jst put it down to luck of the draw and hope things are looking up now!

thanks luke.

If you haven't done so already you should also ask this question on the RSOC forum in the Mk1 FRS section - the car may be known there or may be on the Mk1 FRS build list that is managed by Clayton
