When you use paypal to pay for something you have won on ebay do they automatically take the money out of your paypal account before taking it out of your registered bank account? Or is it something you have to set up?

 

think it comes direct out of your bank account unless you transfer money beforehand from your bank account into your paypal account

 

I have some money in the paypal account from previous items i have sold and never bothered to transfer the money into my bank account , but i noticed the las 2 things i have won and paid for using paypal the money has come out of the paypal account , but i cant remember filling anything out telling paypal to get the money out of the paypal account before getting money out of my bank account

 

paypal account is the go between hence funds will always be taken out of there rather than your bank account as they are guaranteed due to paypal still having control of them

 

so say if i win a item costing Ł30 and i only have Ł15 in the paypal account will they automatically get the other Ł15 from the registered bank account?

 

if you had Ł0.00 in paypal and paid for an item costing Ł20, paypal would apply for Ł20 from your bank account to be paid into your paypal account then straight out to the other users paypal account. If you then sold an item and someone paid you Ł15 it would go from their paypal account into your paypal account. You then have the choice to withdraw from your paypal account into your bank account or keep the money in your paypal account. If you then paid someone Ł30 via paypal then yes im assuming they would take the Ł15 you have in your paypal account and apply for Ł15 from your bank account
