Try a search for these places here in America... JEGS and Summit Racing, they sell Chevy and Ford crate engines, superchargers in many configs. There are tons of places that sell performance engines here so you will have many choices.
Sorry can't help with the kit car.

Good luck

http://www.realsteel.co.uk/ in the uk, are the main people for street engines.

Danny B can probably sort you out with something imported, he works for http://www.hauserracing.com/

http://www.pawengineparts.com/ do wholesale in the states and can supply you with anything. but you need to call them.

http://www.summitracing.com/ I used these guys and they are very friendly and helpful.

http://www.blowerdriveservice.com/ in the states do the kits.

Ever thought about a holiday, makes importing real cheap!!

You could always order a 1995 6.0 LS1 from Vauxhall out of thier Monaro...

Thats normal pops, honestly, its the way for power...

Couple of quotes from someone i know...

This is the 377 with the T76. Looking at a 6500rpm shift point. The turbo will full spool less than 3000rpms.
Total engine, tranny with tune should run around £4500, and put the car in the 10's.
Can you imagine getting 800hp, and not really have to go spend £500 for a dyno tune. Also be able to get a tranny for £1000 that can handle 1000hp day after day. Its pretty much a no brainer for me.

also probably worth speaking to people like John sleath, his huge V8 engines (ie 9litre) have pushed his car into the 8s 172mph 1/4m territory, have a look for his website!
my mate tony has a 9.4l V8 sat in his 3dr cossy shell right now, 650bhp without blower or gas yet! should make 1000bhp easily when finished.
