FAO Pet/Stu - profile updating error
i'm trying to change something in my profile but when i click submit i get a white screen saying:-
"Internal Server Error

Please contact the server administrator, tech@nuxit.net and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

ever heard of your temporary internet files cache!!
my sig will already be in that cache as it's a banner at the top of the page so in reality my sig takes no extra time/bandwith to display

Weve been here and done this before ISH...
The server itself loads all links as it doesnt use cache or we would never see new posts...... The final post by pet was far more complex and i forget the ins and outs, but bottom line = your sigs outa here...
Oh.... i believe youve dropped this.........

Stu i meant the cache on peoples own pc's
anyone who uses passionford on a regular basis will have the banners already stored in their pc's temp files so their post loading time will not be affected at all by me having a banner as my sig.
BUT it's your forum/rules so if it's gotta go it's gotta go but you will have to remove it yourself as i can't make any changes to my profile!

Im off to bed now so cant debate it ISH, but its not the loading times remotely, its the sequence the server goes through when checking links before sending pages out to you thats the issue.... ask Bill, he understood more than me

Invalid session usually means the cookie on your PC has expired and is reporting an incorrect timespan logged into pf.. hence the session error.
Delete all cookies and IE history and you will be fine.
I hope
not yet mate.
Stu can you delete my account and then i will register again with the same username and see if that solves it?
can you put my post count back as well if i register with the same username again

Yes mate, this is an idea, althoug you will lose your post history with it i guess. Try a name such as "Ish." or "I S H"
Just leave the Old Ish account as it is because deleting an account can cause other issues.....
Then PM Pet to have your postcount reinstated.

after thinking about it Stu if i register with a new usernam i won't beable to edit my current posts like the reyland escort rebuild one etc
i guess i'm just going to have to wait for Pet to have some spare time to look at the problem
cheerz anyway
