Default whats the story with the log book?

In his words "NO ID , DUE TO ITS RACING HISTORY , BUT HAVE XR4i LOGBOOKS AVAILABLE IF YOU ARE THINKING OF PUTTING ON ROAD"

so what the score? it should have at sum point had stamps on the shell unless it was a motorsport shell or was bought as a shell with no stamps ect..

Could this have "any" logbook attached?

if he has a logbook and a set of number plates and vin to match and stamps the chassis then it has has all it needs to get mot and be road legal but weather is it legal is another thing RINGER comes to mind depends how you look at it really it would need to be given a Q plate as it correct identity can,t be located or confirmed ! so stay clear if you want it for road use

Some motorsport shells did leave the factory with no numbers, but if it needs an SVA test I think it will fail on the dash for starters

Fords replacement bodyshells all left the factory with no VIN number - I have one in my garage.

As far as im aware no numbers = no age can be confirmed = need a modern SVA which it would fail

If you just slap an xr4 logbook on it you risk being found out as its blatantly not one

Mine is an original XR4i three door. It has consignment plates on the slam panel where the vin plates would normally be, saying "Sierra XR4i Sliding Roof" and sent to Daventry. I found it in Ireland.

It needs an SVA and will get an age-related plate as I'm transferring enough of the bits from a donor - but I agreed that in advance with the DVLA so I don't get stuffed with a Q plate.
