Default Snap off steering wheel /wiring

Has anyone any experience in fitting the above please

Im looking at fitting the snap off boss and having 2 switches to cut between low and high boost maps on the steering wheel.
The wiring needs to be sorted.

Any pics of what you have may help

Hello sir

The issue is the blastest idiot at Ford decided to place the horn on the indicator stalk.

So there is no wiring there to use yet..

Im wondering how the cars with the spiral cable you see work it...?
How do they not get tangled up??

Even better!

Can a snap off kit from a escort turbo be made to work with your column? If so great as you dont need the horn now anyway. Wire the botton through the connections designed for the horn?

Luca, do you actually need to be able to switch maps from the steering wheel??!! Surely you don't plan to switch to a different map in the middle of a 1/4 mile run do you?

Well the snap off boss has the wiring built into it, the other thing to look for is the MK3.5 Fiesta column arrangement as this has some wiring for the air bag.

Scrapheap challenge this weekend me thinks

No the 1/4mile set up will run with one map!...

However for some circuits with long straights it could come in handy to flip from one map to another. Have some traction out of the corners then when ready shut my eyes and PRAY!

Why don't you use an old main beam switch from a Beetle, its floor mounted and could go down by the clutch pedal.

I was only joking.

Actually.........
