Depends on the megapixel of the camera as to the quality. What size were you roughly hoping for?
If you want a print for a wall, you can always print onto canvas as the picture quality isn't as critical as it is when printing onto paper.

they might do it. If not, find your local graphic design studio or similar company, they usually have huge paper roll printers.
Other option is canvas, but you would be looking at alot of moolah for that.
Life size would more than likely be printed by dotmapping so quality would not be too much of a problem, especially from a d70.

The size that you can go depends on how many megapixels the camera was set at for the picture.

Should be ok, my mate does canvas printing, he can do up to 2ft wide by however long you want, and he makes the wooden frames too. If you like I can ask him for a rough idea of what it would cost for it to be done on canvas?
Id stitch a few pics together to get a higher resolution so it doesnt need to be enlarged too much, i.e. photo of head and shoulders, one of body then one of feet, not hard to do these days, this way the quality should be more than what you need for a life size print, Ive used these before and they often have deals on
