took the gearbox out the escort last week and its not as hard as i fault it would be but is it hard to get back in??

I took the spark plugs out of my diesel van what a bastard they were to get out.I had to take the fuel tank out to get at them.

Its a right bugger isnt it i done a focus rs last week had to take the rear beam off to get at the bloody glow plugs.

After having done a few, I'd say sometimes it's easy, sometimes not. Just getting the output shaft to line up properly.

Once I was struggling for about 45mins, shouting and swearing at the bloody thing, arms were killing me due to all the holding and pushing.

Went in, sat down and had a cuppa, came back out and it went on first try.

 

We once had a lad come down the garage telling us his mondeo diesel wouldnt start & he couldnt understand why as he had a spark and fuel
