If it means it's got a fresh engine, that can't be all bad.

bore size has nothing to do with power!!!alot of stroker engines go out to 92mm,thats 1.25mm oversize...it just means its bored for new pistons and .5 is the most common size as most people use mahles...dont be worried as it means its been built..if its not been bored it means your still on the original 15-20 yr old pistons probably...cheers danny

As above, with a few miles what's better old shagged pistons/rings or nice new fresh ones.

so whats better then original thickness and strength of bore or shagged out thin weaker Bore.

0.5 is not a problem but i dont think it does not matter how bored out it is..

if that were true, wet naskali (sp) liners would be no good though

but the liners are the extra bore thickness in a stronger material arnt they?

if the previos posters comments were true you wouldnt need liners until there was no bore left because when boring out it does not make the wall weaker.

I could be wrong here.

there are put in so that if a piston or something breaks they can change that and change the liners without rendering another block useless i beleive,

was just stating by what you said on the bore strength
