Gotta be about a match for a standard cossie I should think.

Its not mentalist quick in car terms, but for a fairly big van (its the LWB high roof version so bigger than the normal connect) its pretty rapid yeah!

Weird thing is, it feels so effortless doing it, it doesnt feel as wrong as you would expect it to!

Nah, when it comes to van everyone knows its the white ones that are the quickest, lol

It looks totally standard on the outside too other than a bigger exhaust and lower profile tyres on the standard steel wheels.

properly cool

Does 200 miles to 20 quid on a run too cause its still got the LPG conversion on it

PMSL @ "the key incident"

Suppose I should publically shame you on that one

We pulled over so Mike could adjust the boost, he put the keys on the slam panel as he was doing it, and forgot about them and closed the bonnet
(connect bonnet ONLY opens with the key!)

What gear is he in there? 130 aint much, but of course he is hitting a bend, just a mate of mine is doing a FRS converstion on a RSTurbo with a stright cut 6 speed box,

i of course know fuck all about what the top speed of a standard FRS produces, and the wight of the van will matter in some way, just wonderder, but coming up to a bed at that speed, in a van, i think a brown moment would be called for LOL..

rather intrested now, in the project as winter is coming and the rs will be off the road, looking in a new engine transplant, power i can get from the engine, and what a cossie lump will give me.

I take it you know the power to wight rasio and stuff? what power is the engine running? of course its not standard now its been chiped and tunned

just noticed the top rev reange, looks like a goot 143 then, just looking at a focus engine, i here they do well with a good management just the box and drivesaft would be a pain, and there not a cheap engine to get hold of. i wouldnt run standard power, something abit better, stage 3/4 i think.

Good work anyhoo.

I dont know the power or the weight mate, I just know that from how it was pulling it wasnt about to just stop accelerating suddenly.

I dont know if the speedo is accurate or not, I just know that it would be pulling further than the point it got to there if he kept his foot in longer.

I haven't done a built thread or showcased it anywhere really. I'll have a dig through and sort some pictures out.

The first point i must make is, if your going to mess around with anything focus rs the parts are just rediculsly expensive, Hence why i running a focus 2l giha gearbox, i almost didn't finnsh this van just through pure lack of funds and i think thats due to how rare the focus rs is over a cossie or a rs turbo.

The speedo actully stops reading where it is in the picture. I have had a GPS 138mph out of it with about 700rpm to go and i fully belive it would have puled it to the limmiter if i had the balls to keep my foot in down.

All though that doesn't sound too impressive (as my stage 1 cossie would piss pass 140 as if it was nothing) i think you have to take into condioration the airodynamics. Its a Hi- roof transit conncet with a massive lightbar on the back and its was loaded at the time chip was mapping it! trying to get that trough the air at 130+ gets my respect lol.
