Default Advice on the best policy for a weekend car

First post on passion ford, had a few blue ovals including White S2 ERST, Capri 1600 laser and now Red S2 ERST...
However my latest RS is not going to be a daily drive like my others but simply a car for nice weather and the summer weekends, a car to be wrapped up in cotton wool and eventually rebuilt.

So i'm wondering if anyone has any good advice as to what my best/cheapest insurance option would be? I'm reluctant to fork out for a normal policy as i wont be using the car enough throughout the year.

Cheers in advance...

I have heard of weekend use insurance policies, best thing is to call up people like adrian flux etc.

Most are telling me i'll be wanting limited mileage and classic car insurance however because i currently don't have a thatcham alarm and its not in a garage but a driveway they can't get the price down, no way i'm paying £600!!

Cheapest i've had so far was £344 fully comp from Swinton so that'll probably have to do until i get it garaged and alarmed up!

£344 is good price considering, otherwise i would of said classic car policy with limited miles etc.
