no mate, just touch a piece of metal to discharge yourself, as long as you have not been rubbing balloons on your hair prior to fitting the ram you should be fine! one out, one in, simple, just make sure any clips are "unclipped" first, dont want to be yanking at it if its locked into position, and then when inserting the new ram make sure its properly seated, applying even pressure on both ends of the stick.
