Default Holiday's Abroad With Kids

We are looking at going abroad next year and was wondering if anyone can recommend some where to go with a 1 1/2 year old baby

Has anyone been any where nice that would be a suitable place to go, Ideally we would wonna go self catering so would need some where with some nice reasturants nearby

we too elise to malta though she was 3 at the time, she was VERY well behaved on the flight and it was over 4 hours flight

try not to go too far to fly is the advice i woud give, as said there was some kid about 10 years old that was SHITTING hes self as he was scared to fly and he cryed hes self to sleep,,,, woke up and found he was still flying and cried hes self to sleep,,,,, the parent where right near the emergency doors too..... i swear if it was a 7 hour flight i would have opened them and chucked the little cunt out !!!

what kind of a parent takes a kid on a holiday by plane if there afraid to fucking fly !!!

It won't be much of a holiday unless you take your folks to share the parenting! At that age it's not a holiday, just looking after your child in a different country

We went to Spain when Josh was 3, in July, was far too hot for them ( and us ) so wouldnt do that again.

How about somewhere like the south of france? Could go via ferry and drive, so wouldnt be too much hassle, plenty of stops along the way?

we took are son to mallorca when he was 3 months old and again when he was 1 1/2 and he loved it. he was playing on the beach and in the sea
we got an early morning flight so he was woken up at about 2am so when he got on the plane he slept most of the way there and never made a sound not like some other kids that were screamin there heads off. if your goin to go try and go some were that has a short flight like mallorca as its only 2 1/2 hours from manchester.

josh is now 3 and he has been to mallorca twice malaga twice and tenerife and has loved it every time

Took ours to malaga when he was one, loved it
As said try for a night flight so they sleep for most/all of the flight, I too hate screaming kids

crikey, my kids are well travelled. We took our son to Australia when he was 18 months old, the flight on the way out wasnot too bad, he wanted to walk round the plane!
My daughter turned 1 when we were in Sydney, and then we went back there when she was 2. Now we are off to Australia again for the 4th time in 6 years, which makes this my sons 4th time there and my daughters 3rd time there, and she will have her 4th birthday in Sydney again.
So far my kids have been to Spain, France, Singapore, Dubai, Hong Kong, Australia and will have Kuala Lumpur when we go outthis year.
If you are weary of travelling too far on a flight with a child that age, try not too have a flight more than a couple of hours long., We tend to get flights leaving in the late evening then there will be more of a chance for the kids to get some sleep on the way.
