Right guys,
I have a front mount intercooler but one of the smaller ones that covers about a 3rd of your radiator.
Now My radiator fan is loose and i need to fit it to the radiator?!?!?
What should i use to ensure its a correct fit as the original fittings wont work as the fan used to sit in the middle of the rad...
Thanks.

I take it your on about the pace double capacity type intercoolers and your using the standard fan? If thats the case then you would need to make up a couple of brackets for the bottom of the fan out of that metal macarno stuff (cant remember what its called
) or phone pace and they can supply the fitting kits but they were about Ł50 the last time i heard.
Just so you know them double capacity ones aint alot if any better than the standard inercooler.

there better than the std cooler at std boost,a good upgrade for a std car,its when u raise the boost it cant keep charge temps cool enough
Imo there a waste of money i wouldnt want to run more than 14 PSI max on one of them spend the extra few ŁŁŁ and get a proper front mount one that will take the boost and keep the temps down.
people run high boost through these and then say there shit, there shit cause ur runnin it way past what its built for, your std turbo will be pushing around 13-14psi to achieve 10psi pressure with a front mount, why when the DC can take 10psi and isnt over workin ur turbo and still keep safe charge temps

I know id rather pay the little extra and have a full front mount on a standard car regardless its overkill or not and know that if i ever did want to up the boost i dont have to waste another Ł250+ in the future to buy a front mount because the double capacity one that i would have payed the same sort of money for aint up to the job of going over X amounts of boost

ill say it again, for std boost the DC beats any front mount for sale, simply because it can keep safe act's and doesnt have a pressure drop, the front mount is not suited for std cars.your workin your turbo harder than needs to be done,if ur seeing 13psi from the turbo u wont see 13psi coming out the cooler due to the huge pressure drop, thats a real waste,u upgrade as u go along, dnt overspec it when not needed.also u dont want charge temps to be too cool, optimum temps are are around 30 degrees(someone will know exact figure)
anyway its went off topic, start another if u want to discuss it further
for the rad the old faithful cables ties will work wonders lol

.Any why like you say it's gone WAY off topic now and im bored with talking about it

you either want the metal bar for fitting it which relocates the standard bottom mounting points or just make do with cable ties or some other sort of fitting kit.
I've just bought one of these DC intercoolers cheap second hand with the intention of running around 13/14psi- can't see why it isn't a worthwhile upgrade if thats all the boost you wanna run as its gonna cope better than the standard one surely.
