can anyone tel me if the mk3 or mk4 escort B&M quick shift will fit the mk2 xr2 fiesta 88

my mate has one on his mk2 xr2 from a mk3 xr2i, if that helps at all. not sure if escort is same as mk3 fiesta?

 

there isn't much difference between them, the linkage appears to be identical.
i have a mk2 xr2 and i have an erst linkage hung up as a spare and looks identical apart from the mounting plate for the selector.
so would assume the linkage is the same, but the mounting plate would be different as the escort has a wider tunnel.

 

bolt pattern on the linkages is the same, only difference is the linkage rods, you need the later spec xr2 ones

 

so the b&m kit will fit my rods., the b&m kit seems to be the full base and gear leaver will this mate up with my original rods
