i cant get the iaw monitor software to to open the monitor screen, and its because i havent got a port open?
it asks for a port, and next to that theres a drop box but its empty? and if i type anything into the box i get an error message saying
icp cannot open selected port, port busy or non-existant please select another.
but it only lets me type 1 character before the error box comes up again.
ive added the program in windows firewall to be allowed access
and it gives me an option to open ports but i dont know what 1 i need or what type.

can any1 help?

also does any1 know of an express card 34mm to serial rs232 that isnt usb based?
i need 1 to connect the cable to but cant use a usb based one as it wont work.
any1 know where i can get 1 from?
